Macrobiotics

I went to Macrobiotics cooking class today. It was really interesting. Do you know what Macrobiotics is? Macrobiotics, from the Greek"macro" (large, long) + "bios" (life), is a lifestyle that incorporates a dietary regimen. Macrobiotic methodology was brought to Europe from Japan by Japanese philosopher George Ohsawa (1893–1966). [by Wikipedia] Wow, I didn't know. But its really popular in Japan. Cook without eggs, sugar and milk. Also cook using organic products. Macrobiotic diets follow the idea of yin and yang. Followers of macrobiotics believe that food, and food quality, affects our lives more than is commonly thought. (But this is true...) Learning about Macrobiotics and what food and products prisent, makes me want to learn more about what we eat. I do not need to be so sincitive, but It give me an idea of use more traditional methods of cooking for family, friends, and oneself.

Today, I made sweets. Cocoa cake, puding and coco cookies. WITHOUT using milk, sugar and eggs. Wow, it's sure taste natural. We used natural organic ingredients and taste alot simple and plain, but felt really worm and calm.. (do you know what I mean??)

I'm 39!?

Wii is really fun to play. You can play by yourself, or with bunch of people. Yesterday I did measurement of physical fitness. Its in Wii sports. You do all kind of sports, then wii tells you how old you are. then, I am 39......(+o+)

Feel a hole in my heart..

I am leaving this office in one month. Gosh… I will miss this place. And I will miss my job too. What am I going to do from April?? (In Japan, March is the end of the year term and April is the start) humm.. I told my boss that I will not make a contract for another year, but, I have no idea why I said that… Its so complicated… the situation and effects of stressful working conditions on mental health. I like what I do but making people work for many hours under such stressful conditions for just $1500 a month is a rip-off too. (promotional increase in pay, ..etc.. etc.)

But it is not about money that I'm talking about!! humm... I think it’s matter of your flexibility and adaptability to the working emvironment, right? There are tons of Sxxty bosses around the world... but he was the worst one... I am just a person of low caliber. I was not good enogh to take nicely... Anyway, I just feel like I messed up the whole thing…

Visiting my Friend in Kagoshima pref.

My one of my wonderful friend is living in Kagoshima pref. We met each other in college in Miyazaki, and we weren't that good friend during college years. But we become a good friend after we graduate. Now she is working with Canadian nonviolent organization. She just got back from on-the-job training in Kenya. And she might go to Philippines or Columbia in South America soon. Anyway, I will shear with you my trip to Kagoshima.

Woke up at 5:15 am to catching 5:38am train. I suposed to wake up at 4:30am, but "Oh my gosh! I overslept!" but I didn't miss the train. ^^ (inside the train, me , looking at the morning sun from the window, bathroom, and inside the train) Saga station → Tosu station → Shin Yatsushiro station (The Liminted express train)

Transferred to another line. Limited express to Shinkansen (super express train:bullet train.)
This line is the new in Kyushu. The train was gorgeous . I really loved it. It's thanks to this train. I can get to Kagoshima just 2hours and 30 minutes. It usually takes more than 4 hours to get to there. ^^

Kagoshima!!
Arrived at Kagoshima, and met my friend. First of all, she took me to local festival. It was really fun. Its like a local farmers' market.

We went to bedrock bath or you could say steam bedrock bath. You lay down streamed rockbed and sweat a lot. Dedrock bath is really popular in Japan, because it says reform the metabolic system. But it was sooooooooo hot!!!!! You really cant see me .... hehe

We did all kinds of stuff after visiting bedrock bath, then we went to beautiful scenic coast .

Dinner. My friend's mother took us to the Korean BBQ place. It was really easygoing restaurant. It was really nice

Next day, we've visited our college in Miyazaki. It bring back all kinds memories. Fight with my friends, time spend with my boyfriend, fool around with my friends and others. It was nice to go back there. We visited on Sunday, so we dicided to visit there on the weekdays. To see all the faculties and professors. ^^

Our college town is changed a lot. There are nice fancy coffee shops and restrants were built, and glad to see bustling community. We visited the new restaurant for lunch, and I found out Japanese restanrant menue is so kind. Most of the place has pictures of dish. I never see this kinds of menue in forign countires. When I visited my friend in Seattle, my friend took me out for dinner. I can read English, but it was hard to image the dish... ^^ but I had really nice meal at the restaurant. ^^
Oh, I had realy good weekend. Just being with my good friend is nice. Nice to see she is doing alright. Although, she is having problem, but at least she had fun, i guess. I went to Church with her, the I met 2 people from Englewood Colorado. Isn't is amazing? They knew CCHS, and we had really nice talk.. ^^
Anyway,
see yaaa....
